CONFERENCE OVERVIEW 

The overall objectives of the Conference are to provide an up-to-date assessment of the development and application of NDE and to allow technical interchange between experts on national or international basis. The Conference will cover all aspects of this extremely important subject, with special regard to the links between lifetime of products, structural integrity requirements and NDE performance. The development of improved NDE systems and methods will be highlighted. Determination of NDE performance by development of qualification systems or performance demonstration, and experience of their use in practice will be prominently featured. 

CONFERENCE TOPICS 

The Organizing Committee extends an invitation for exhibition and technical papers to be presented at the Conference. Personnel from utilities, service vendors, inspection equipment manufacturers, universities, research laboratories, regulatory bodies, and other related Organizations are encouraged to submit one-page abstracts. Abstracts must clearly explain the paper's objectives, content, methodologies and conclusions. Topics should focus on: 

• Acoustic emission
• Magnetic and inductive methods
• Radiography
• Ultrasonic methods
• Surface and optical methods
• Leak detection
• NDT corrosion damage monitoring
• Tomography
• Industrial application of NDE
• Improvements in existing NDE methods
• Testing issues at transportation
• Special quality inspection methods
• Routine control, tests of reliability and construction safety
• Education, standardization, certification and accreditation at NDT 

RELATED ACTIONS 

EXHIBITION 

A vendor exhibition will be conducted to complement the technical presentations. Specialists in the field of NDE and field services are encouraged to display their equipment and / or capabilities. Each exhibiting company/organization will receive one (1) complimentary Full Conference Registration 

WORKSHOP 

Workshops will be focused on MRA – recognition of NDT personnel certification issued by PCB registered under the ICNDT MRA. The implementation and operation of the ICNDT MRA.

Language 

The official conference language will be Slovak or Czech. Translation service will be available. 

Insurance 

The organizer cannot accept responsibility for accidents that might occur. Delegates are encouraged to purchase travel insurance before leaving their home country. Insurance plans typically cover accidental loss of belongings, medical costs in case of injury or illness, and other possible risks of international travel. 

Climate 

The temperature in Nový Smokovec during the period of the conference ranges between 0-8 degrees Celsius. We suppose there can be still snow.

VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, and American Express are widely accepted at hotels, department stores, shops, restaurants and nightclubs. 

Electricity 

Electric current is uniformly 230 volts, AC, throughout Slovak; sockets usually accept a two-leg plug always

Final Paper Deadline September 15th, 2020

Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation will be contacted by February 15, 2020. Final papers must be prepared in accordance with conference guidelines (supplied upon acceptance of abstract). Final papers are due at the start of the conference. Abstracts and the Abstract Submission Form should be submitted to the appropriate contact as listed below:
